Parental Choice Program

choiceThe first open enrollment for the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP) begins soon.  The open enrollments in which LPS participates are February 1 – 20, April 1 – 20, and July 1-20. If you plan on applying for a school choice voucher at Luther Prep, please apply in the February open enrollment. Don’t wait until April or June or your child may be put on a waiting list.

The open enrollment for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) begins soon.  The open enrollment is February 1 – April 20. If you plan on applying for a school choice voucher at Luther Prep, you must apply during the open enrollment. Please do so sooner rather than later.

Families must apply each year in the Online Application System (OAS) for their student to continue in the program.

Here is the link to the Online Application System (OAS): https://dpi.wi.gov/choice.

If your child is currently in the program we only have to verify residency. The easiest way is to send us a copy of your most recent utility bill or W2 form. Be sure the parent(s) name(s) that you put into the online application system (OAS) matches the name on your residency paperwork. You can scan and email it to me or send it via the USPS. Please don’t wait to do this. We want to make sure we have time to do the verification.

If your 8th grader who will be coming to LPS next year isn’t currently in a school choice program, we will have to verify income as well as residency for that student. Please choose the DPI method of income verification.

This program is a blessing to so many of our families. We want your child to participate in it if you are eligible.

If you have any questions, please ask and I’ll do my best to answer them.
