President Matthew Crass has announced his retirement at the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
As authorized by the WELS Constitution and Bylaws, the Governing Board of Luther Preparatory School (LPS), Watertown, Wis., invites WELS pastors; male professors, teachers, and staff ministers; and voting members of WELS congregations to nominate a qualified
pastor to serve as president. The president is the chief executive officer of the school and the pastor for the LPS family. He shall work toward achieving the single mission of Luther Preparatory School: to prepare and encourage young people to become pastors, teachers, or staff ministers in WELS. He will do this by working with all departments in providing Christian training and thorough scholarship to cultivate the spiritual, mental, and physical growth of the students. This nomination request is a result of the retirement of current LPS President Matthew Crass, effective July 31, 2027.
All nominations must be received by Sept. 17, 2026.

The calendar link below shares the schedule from the Athletic Department and some schedules that are maintained by coaches of individual teams. With the constant weather changes that Wisconsin can bring, please check the calendars if there is a possibility of cancellation or postponement. When we have updates, they will also be posted here as soon as possible.

Homecoming Dance Information:
The Homecoming dance is coming up on September 19! Dance tickets can be purchased September 8-16 in the Mission Advancement and Business Offices during school hours or online.
Students who wish to bring a guest from another school must have a completed guest form returned to Dean Krause by September 14.

The Martin Luther College football team will host a Pregame Tailgate Party on Saturday, September 12 at Christ Alone Lutheran Church's South Campus starting at 10:30 am. The game begins at 2:00 pm at Concordia University Wisconsin - Tomasini Stadium.
After months of prayer, planning, generosity, and work, Luther Preparatory School has received official approval from its Governing Board and WELS Synodical Council to move forward with the construction of our new Music Center!
In order to begin construction of our new music center, we needed to have received gifts for 70% of the total cost. This summer, we passed that number. We plan to begin construction this fall! This much-needed music center will be a blessing to our campus for many years to come. Luther Prep's Mission Advancement and WELS Ministry of Christian Giving will continue seeking the $5-6 million in gifts needed to complete the project.
In order to celebrate this momentous occasion, we would like to invite everyone to join us for a groundbreaking service on Friday, September 18 at 10:00 am.
RSVP is not required, but it is appreciated as we plan our event.
