Luther Prep Cross Country

September 27 - Oshkosh

Today, Luther Prep cross country participated at the inaugural Oshkosh Lourdes Invite held at a new course just outside of Oshkosh. Official results can be found here on AdeSports' website. Our opponents were Amherst, Ashwaubenon, Bonduel, DC Everest, Freedom, Hortonville, Kewaskum, Kohler, Lourdes Academy, Madison Country Day, Menasha, New London, North Fond du Lac/Oakfield, Pacelli, Pulaski, Rosholt, Saint Mary Catholic, Stevens Point, University School of Milwaukee, Winneconne, and Xavier.

The highlights:

The varsity boys finished in 5th place out of 19 scoring teams. The team was led by Logan Korthals, who took 1st place, defeating the 2nd place runner by 22 seconds, and who broke a 25-year-old school record with a time of 15:33.43! Congratulations, Logan! Scoring for Luther Prep as well were Andrew Holz (19th), Lance Walker (41st), Luke Stern (42nd), and Brian Duff (47th). Great job, gentlemen!

The varsity girls finished in 6th place out of 19 scoring teams. Scoring points for Luther Prep today were Emma Patrick (21st place with a time of 20:21.91), Jolie Habben (25th), Brianna Wiedenhoeft (25th), Rachel Felsing (32nd), and Naomi Taylor (41st). Great job, ladies!

 

October 2 - Slinger

Today, Luther Prep cross country participated in the Terry Krall Invitational held at Heritage Trails County Park outside of Slinger. Official results can be found here on PT Timing's website; Prep ran in the Large schools division for this meet.

The highlights:

The boys varsity finished in 6th place out of 8 scoring teams. Scoring points for Luther Prep were Andrew Holz (8th place with a time of 17:59.6), Lance Walker (23rd), Gabe Sulzle (29th), Brian Duff (34th), and Brett Breitkreutz (35th).

The girls varsity finished in 4th place out of 7 scoring teams. Scoring points for Luther Prep were Emma Patrick (9th place with a time of 21:44.7), Naomi Taylor (14th), Jolie Habben (17th), Millie Heiderich (19th), and Brianna Wiedenhoeft (20th).

The boys JV finished in 4th place out of 9 scoring teams. Leading the way for the JVs were Willem DeBoer (8th place), Uriah Ewerdt (10th), Ethan Seifert (16th), Henry Horn (24th), and Everett Hahm (47th).

The girls JV finished in 2nd place out of 7 scoring teams. Leading the way for the JVs were Iris Wendorff (3rd place), Nora Waldschmidt (5th), Evie Scharf (8th), Caitlynn Breitkreutz (10th), and Jenna Manning (12th).
