LPS Seeking to Hire


Function – Scope Statement:
Responsible for providing administrative support to LPS administrators, faculty, and staff as required.

Shift Hours – 7:30a-4:00p, Monday through Friday, Occassional duties outside these hours as needed

Essential Duties:

1. Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.

2. Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.

3. Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock.

4. Assist with the set up and organization of designated student events, including Arbor Day, Homecoming, Winter Carnival, the Tertia/Faculty Banquet, and Trivia Night.

5. Assist the Dean of Students by performing secretarial duties as needed, including (but not limited to) set up of student registrations for Resident Assistant positions, Student Council election sign up forms, Roommate selection sign up lists, and the offering designation form for student chapel gifts.

6. Assist with attendance tracking, coordinate counseling appointments with onsite counselors, and share student sick lists with appropriate personnel.

7. Assist with set up and start-up of district conventions.

8. Work with dorm staff to notify of attendance changes, reserve vehicles for dorm staff use, and enter service requests for laundry equipment in the dorms.

9. Work with students to help register for driver's education and work with vendor to get classes and training set up.

10. Create program for Commencement Concert.

11. Create and issue student, faculty, and staff ID badges. Update computer system with new information and provide updates to appropriate campus personnel.

12. Coordinate door locking and unlocking schedules for special events.

13. Serve as primary contact for SEVIS, coordinating the international student program.

14. Log the receipt of student packages, notify students of availability, and track pick up of packages.

15. Be available during registration weekend to answer parent questions and provide guidance. This will include hours on the Saturday of registration.

16. Maintain student housing database to keep information current.

17. Coordinate student transportation needs, including transportation for breaks and doctor appointments.

18. Issue student parking passes and keep current database of student vehicles on campus.

19. Perform other duties as assigned.

20. Carry out other mutually agreed upon duties.


  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • 2+ years of secretarial or related experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Experience in a related job and working in an office environment
  • Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material
  • Good communication skills
