Luther Prep forensics takes 1st place

PORT WASHINGTON ‐‐ Luther Preparatory School started the forensics season off strong. Luther Prep had seven finalists at Port Washington High School’s Pirate Invitational forensics tournament on Saturday, January 12. Seniors Grace Brown and Sophie Thompson took first place in Duo Interpretation. Senior Katie Kopplin took 1st place in Solo Acting Humorous, and seniors Jacob Schwark and Melody Morris took 3rd in Storytelling and 5th in Moments in History, respectively. Junior Stepan Netudykhatko received 1st in Novice Informative speaking, and junior Allen Deglow finished 5th in Prose.

Luther Prep placed 1st in the medium schools division in last Saturday’s tournament. The medium schools division was 9-19 entries. Luther Prep placed first with only 9 entries. This was LPS’s first tournament of the season.

The Luther Preparatory School forensics team will next compete at the Rock River Forensics Tournament on Saturday, January 19 co-hosted by Luther Prep and Watertown High School.
