What to expect if you are joining us VIRTUALLY

  • Anyone can participate in our Silent Auction, which is OPEN now.

  • Keep in mind, many of the items do need to be arranged to be picked up AT Luther Prep. We are happy to store your items until Graduation or help arrange to send them home with someone who lives in your area. 
  • Tables will close throughout the night (4/17) at 6:15pm, 6:30pm and 6:45pm 
  • Sponsorship or Fund-an-item opportunities will be open until 11pm CST 
  • We will LIVESTREAM our program at 7:30pm CST -  https://livestream.com/lps/gala2021

The invitation is for “Cocktail Attire.” Feel welcomed to dress as you would for a wedding, or night out! There will be women in long formal dresses to “chic” black dresses. In the end, please have fun dressing up, but do what YOU feel comfortable in. Gentlemen, suits & ties are great.
You will enter at the Gym entrance (H.A.N.D.S. for Autism Ave is the Parking Lot name) from the Parking Lot, off of College Ave by the track. You will see the Auditorium building as you come into this parking lot.
YES! That will be the easiest and fastest way for “Check in” the night of the event. To register go to https://events.readysetauction.com/lutherpreparatoryschool/shinebright    Create your account and add your Credit Card information for mobile bidding.  By adding your Credit Card information ahead of time, you will not have to do this at check in OR at check out the night of the event.
If you have already registered with RSA (ReadySetAuction.com) and entered your Credit Card information on their secured payment gateway, you are ready to go, and at ‘Check in’ you will give your name to the LPS student at the computer and she will simply enter you as “here.” That’s it!
Mobile bidding is a paperless way to manage bidding at our event for the Silent Auction. Guests pull out their smartphones and seamlessly mobile bid from anywhere at the event. It also provides us the opportunity to include people who are not able to attend that night, to enjoy supporting the event through the Silent Auction.
We will have Mobile Bidding Stations available with volunteers who can enter in your bid for you.
Yes. When the event has concluded and all entries from the Live Auction have been entered you will go to the ‘Check out’ line to get your receipt and pay.
No, you do not have to go to the Check Out station. Once all the items from the Live Auction have been entered (for example the ‘fund-an-item bids), you can “self check out on your device” once the event is over.
We will have tables full of desserts for everyone to bid on collectively as a Table. At 6:45pm when the Silent Auction has closed, everyone will go to their assigned table, and write down what they personally would enjoy donating to Luther Prep for their dessert.
 
As soon as you are able, pass your sheet in to a LPS Student server so we can ADD up the amount that your entire Table bid, calculate all the table amounts.
 
The collective Table that bid the highest will get to have first pick at the Desserts, and pick a dessert for their Table. After the first 5 highest tables have been announced one by one and picked their Desserts, then the ‘Dash’ will begin. The MC will proceed to call off the next consecutive 5 tables and first come first serve! And that will continue until all the tables have been called. There will be a list of what Dessert options there are on your table.
 
All the Dessert Dash proceeds go to Luther Prep!
If you used your device to mobily bid, you will be notified of all the items you have won. We will also print out an invoice before the Live Auction begins and deliver it to your table.
Once the event is over, you will go to the “pick up” area and show them your paper invoice so they can match it to the corresponding items. Then please take your items to your vehicle, and then join us for the Social Soiree in the gym for a Coffee Bar and socializing.
Yes. After 9pm you will be told to go and ‘Pick up’ your items in the same location that you first entered the building.
No. We will provide bidder paddles with your bidder number on them. They will be at your table. Only people in person can participate in the Live Auction and raffle item drawings.
  • 5pm : Arrivals and enjoy hors-dourves, beverages, the Silent Auction, raffles and visiting!
  • 6:45pm : Dessert Dash
  • 7:30pm : The Program for the evening (Live Streaming will begin)
  • Sometime after 8pm : The Live Auction
  • Our “formal evening of events” ends at 9pm.

     

Everyone is welcomed to stay and continue to visit and socialize after 9pm at the Social Soiree & Coffee Bar also in the same location: the Gym.

The ‘Social Soiree’ is to give people more of an opportunity to enjoy the night and visit with each other, as our program and evening from 5pm - 9pm is full with an agenda. For those that want, they are welcomed to enjoy a casual atmosphere and some coffee while enjoying more fellowship.
“Pick up” is for collecting any items you won from the Silent Auction, Wine pull, Jewelry Table, or raffles. If there is anything physical that you have to take home with you, you will pick it up after 9pm.
