Nix Sticks 2024

Two player teams will compete in a hitting game where adults will “pitch” the game and teams score runs. Each player will get 6 at bats per game and see at least a total of 36 pitches. Pitches will be tossed from 25 feet by an LPS coach. When not participating in a game there will be coach run fundamental work and a home run derby.

Maximum of 24 participants on a first come first serve basis.

I am very excited that you are considering playing in our Nix Sticks hitting league this year. I hope you will be able to make it to all four Sunday sessions, but if you are unable to be here one week, please just send me an email. I will make sure to adjust your averages so that you stay in the hunt for the “Swing King” award.

What to bring:

gym shoes

baseball glove

bat (there will be high school bats available but these will be heavier)

helmet (or you may use one proved)

water bottle

batting gloves (we will do a lot of swinging)

Where to come: LPS gymnasium

When to come: We will begin at 1:30pm but you are welcome to get here anytime after 1:00pm

Coaches will be setting up equipment at that time.

Other Information: When you arrive, you will be matched up with another player or two to make your team for the afternoon. You will stay with that team for the whole session. The next week, teams will change. Over the course of the 4 weeks, you will be able to accumulate points which will determine the individual champion, called our “Swing King” and home run derby champion.
