Covid-19 Protocols

21-22 School Year
Fall sports collageEach Athletic Venue will have its own protocols to follow when attending various athletic events. The events and venues are listed below with the protocol documents that were sent to LPS.

Altoona Covid Protocol for Tennis Sectionals

All coaches will be in charge of health screenings for all team members, prior to the start of competition. Social distancing should be observed by all spectators and participants when possible. When indoors and/or within 6’ in an outdoor setting, all spectators and participants should wear a face covering. 


Indoor Center Rules: Unvaccinated participants and spectators should continue to wear masks when indoors.  Unvaccinated players are allowed to remove their mask when they are on court

Each conference school has been sending in their covid protocols.  
 
 
LPS:
Pre-covid,  No protocols
 
Lakeside/Lake Mills/Waterloo:
Lakeside and Lake Mills is pre-covid.  No protocols.  
Health Department guidance with positive Covid cases, informing identified close contacts, but not quarantining close contacts
Masks optional, Locker rooms available, no limits on spectators, campus open
Will shake hands after the contest or wave.   All depends on what the opponent is comfortable with doing. 
 
Columbus:
Masking required indoors by all participants, coaches, officials, and spectators before, during, and after events. 
Only quarantining if 6 feet/15 minute exposure exists without a mask on
Handshake or wave, depending on coaches agreement.
Locker rooms available. 
 
Turner:
Masking optional 
Contact Tracing, quarantining non vaccinated close contacts
Handshake or wave, depending on coaches agreement.
Locker rooms available. 
 
New Glarus/Cambridge/Belleville:
  • Masking required indoors by all (currently through 9/30)
  • Only quarantining if 3 feet/15 minute exposure exists without a mask and unvaccinated
  •  
  • Handshake or wave, depending on coaches agreement.
  • Locker rooms available.
Horicon:

As of 8/12/2021: 

  • Masks are optional. 

  • Social distancing is suggested as much as possible. 

  • Concessions will be offered.

  • Quarantines for athletes will follow the same guidelines as quarantines for our general student population.

Columbus High School has implemented a masking requirement for all indoor facilities.

For activities this means that all players, coaches, officials, event workers, and spectators are required to wear masks while indoors at any Columbus activity. 
 
Playing and viewing outdoor activities will not require masks. However, if any outdoor activity needs to use indoor facilities (locker rooms or bathrooms) they will be required to mask up.
Dane County order requires masks to be worn at all times in the building. Players and spectators.
Per the new Dane County Public Health Order which starts on Thursday, August 19, masks will be required indoors by all players, coaches, officials, workers, managers, and spectators at Marshall High School.
